Management and Operation of Blandford Leisure Centre
North Dorset |
NORTH DORSET DISTRICT COUNCiL is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitable leisure management contractors including existing NPDOs and private sector operators to enter into a contract to manage and operate the existing dual-use Blandford Leisure Centre.
The Council wishes to expedite the letting of this contract as soon as possible. Guaranteed funding exists up until the end of March 2013. The contract will need to be co-terminus with this date although it is hoped that it will be extended beyond that date, subject to future funding.
The Council considers that the existing staff at the leisure facilities will transfer under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) and that the Code on Workforce Matters and Pensions Direction may apply. The option to second staff will be discussed, but this option will be subject to legal opinion.
Potential Partners must complete a Pre Qualification Questionnaire and demonstrate a proven successful track record in delivering innovative partnerships with the public sector, ideally involving wet and dry dual-use leisure centres. The successful contractor will be selected through a formal
tender process and/or via negotiation.
